Admitted Student Day
Admitted Student Day is an immersive campus experience for accepted students and their families. Students will explore their chosen academic college through interactive activities, while family members attend a presentation designed just for them. The day then shifts into a conference-style format, allowing guests to choose from a variety of engaging sessions. Need help along the way? Drop-in support is available for ROAR, Housing, Financial Aid, and Admissions. End the day at the Res Hall Crawl, where you can tour residence halls and enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate!
School Group Tours
Group tours are available for larger high school or community college groups such as classes, organizations, clubs, etc. Group tours are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Groups should arrive to campus no later than 9:30 a.m. CST to receive a full presentation and campus tour. Advance notice of at least 2 weeks is required and groups are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that due to the high demand for group visits, the Admissions Office is unable to accommodate students below high school age.

Campus Tour FAQ
- Where can I park?
- Parking is reserved for campus tours in Parking Lot B, to the left of the entrance to the Wendell W. Gunn University Commons. Guests are also welcome to park in the Visitor Parking section of Lot A in Harrison Plaza, or in Lot Q, adjacent to the Coby Hall Honors House, off N. Court Street. You can view a campus map including parking lots and buildings here.
- Visitors are encouraged to complete the Request for Visitor Parking Permission before parking on campus.
- Where does the tour begin, and what do I do when I get to campus?
- Tours begin in the Wendell W. Gunn University Commons located at 607 Aderholt Way, Florence, AL 35630.
- What Should I Wear?
- Our tours are walking tours of the campus, so you will want to come prepared with comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing!
- Can I bring guests with me for my campus tour?
- Students are welcome to bring up to two guests.
- Can I see a residence hall during my tour?
- Yes! The tour includes a viewing of Mattielou Hall. Showings of Rivers Hall are available upon request.
- Can I meet with other departments while on campus?
- Yes! You can request to meet with another department when scheduling your tour online, and our office will schedule this for you. Departmental meetings must be requested before your visit. (Departmental appointments may not be available May-August.)
- Can I eat while on campus?
- Dining options are available on campus in the Guillot University Center (GUC) or the Wendell Gunn University Commons. Options within these buildings are Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Panda Express, and Moe's Southwest Grill. Dining options are limited during the summer. Please visit for availability.
