Art supplies will be headed to Uganda, Africa, thanks to the students at Kilby Laboratory School on the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ campus. Around 100 pouches were filled thanks to the efforts of the Kilby students and donations from parents.
Heidi Armstrong, a sophomore majoring in Elementary Education at the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ, has been selected to receive a scholarship through the Alabama Space Grant Consortium as part of a program funded by NASA. The aim of the Undergraduate Teacher Education Scholarship opportunity is to encourage students to pursue degrees that lead to teaching careers in science and mathematics.
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Class of the Greek Alumni Hall of Fame at the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ; the form, which can be accessed at this link, will be available until June 1.
More than two dozen graduates were honored as part of the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ spring commencement ceremonies that took place May 9 and 10. The Turris Fidelis Key was presented to two graduating seniors; while 23 students received the Keller Key award.

Spring commencement ceremonies at the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ are set for Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10. More than 1,000 students will graduate as part of six ceremonies that will feature two dynamic speakers.
